I have been at my job almost a year and have been trying to cope with my female boss. She is a holy terror to everyone in the company. Most of my time is spent learning how to navigate her moods, and keep clear of danger. I am a male. The office workers prefer to deal with me, but it puts me in the middle, and I would rather keep out of the line of fire and only get involved where I have to. She knows they feel this way - and thinks it is a form of power. She is actually one of the BEST managers for knowledge and competency that I''ve ever worked for. But I don''t know how to cope with this situation. I just want to do my job, and leave all the emotional games out. Are there skills that I can learn to help me deal with this? I don''t see any chance of her changing.

I am smart, energetic and healthy - just rode my big Harley 2000 miles in 5 days. I have held many management positions in a male-dominated profession over 25 years. Recently I have been shut out of meetings, exiled to a remote project, and get the distinct impression my opinion has little value.
Should I .... 1. Figure out how to get back in with the boys? -OR-
2. Find a good attorney to prepare for the big lawsuit?

I''m not kidding. The sight of him makes me want to throw-up. Really. He doesn''t listen. He''ll instate a policy and within days does the exact opposite. Is he really this dense or so self involved he believes anything he does is perfect and not to be questioned.
If I didn''t believe in the project I''m doing-I wouldn''t tolerate his shit for a day!

I saw the rant on men...really? Why are there 480 male CEOs out of the Fortune 500 companies? If women could drop a lot of their overly emotional BS maybe they could pull their weight in corporate America!

Why are men so difficult to work with? The games, the macho stuff, I''m growing weary of guys. Anyone know a great all women company I can work for?

I made a huge sale last week. The people in my office screwed up the paperwork and the client got pissed and went to a competitor. These people are clowns.

I just got laid-off. This may be more of a cry than a rant.

Where do people get off yelling at workers? Twice this week I''ve had customer service ladies in my office crying. Do these people realize the line they are crossing? 9 out of 10 times it is beyond our control.

All I can say is "you want it when?" My boss is an ass and orders everything yesterday. He is so stupid-he doesn''t even understand what the project is!
